The holiday season begins right after Thanksgiving this year as the five-time international chorus champion Masters of Harmony, under the direction of Mark Hale, presents “Christmas Stays the Same” in matinee and evening performances at the intimate Carpenter Performing Arts Center on the campus of the California State University, Long Beach. Always a popular event, the Christmas show features music of the season to evoke warm memories of the past and fond hopes for future seasons.
Making a return visit, the visually entertaining and vocally energetic women’s chorus, Harborlites, under the direction of Pam Pieson, will delight audiences with their dazzling showmanship and distinctive choral sound. Ms. Pieson, a gifted and expressive soloist, will grace the stage with her artistic interpretations and soulful expressions of song.
As a special added attraction, VoCA, a select group of the most decorated a cappella singers in Southern California, will present an inimitable performance of holiday music.
