Nothing gets you in the holiday spirit like music of the Christmas season, and few groups anywhere in the world present it with more artistry and gusto than the eight-time international chorus champion Masters of Harmony! For over a quarter century, the Masters have been thrilling holiday season audiences with shows that produce heart-warming joy that pumps up the Christmas spirit in all who attend! Masters of Harmony fans eagerly await these shows that feature sacred hymns as well as contemporary holiday songs. They also feature several numbers with the beloved toe-tapping instrumental combo, the Masters of Harmony Band. On Saturday, November 30, 2013, the Masters return to the Richard and Karen Carpenter Theater on the campus of Cal State Long Beach with shows at 2:00 pm and 8:00 pm. Then, on Sunday, December 8, the entire show will be repeated at the historic Fox Performing Arts Center at 3:00 pm.
This year’s show, “My Favorite Things,” will feature the Barbershop Harmony Society’s current international quartet champion, Masterpiece. Listening to Masterpiece, you will hear and see why this superbly polished and thoroughly entertaining quartet won the gold medal this July in Toronto, Canada, with performances that led at each stage of the competition and dazzled the convention audiences.
Also featured is American Pastime, the 2013 Southwest Division Quartet Champion, a smooth-sounding, very entertaining foursome that has already earned rave reviews from its audiences.
