Annual Spring Show Debuts at Downey Civic Theatre

On April 14, 2012, the Masters of Harmony will present their spring show, entitled “Steppin’ Out in Style,” in Downey, a beautiful, historic, centrally located city 13 miles from downtown Los Angeles. The Masters will grace a stage that first opened in 1970 with a production of The Sound of Music and where in March 1971, astronauts Alan Shepard, Edgar Mitchell, and Stuart Roosa spoke. The Downey Civic Theater is an intimate 738-seat theater located midway between the 605 Freeway on the east and the 710 Freeway on the west. It is adjacent to the Embassy Suites Hotel and Mimi’s Café with convenient, free well-lighted parking available behind the hotel and theater.

Over the years, Masters of Harmony audiences have thrilled to world-class, emotionally stirring, perfectly balanced, four-part a cappella harmony as only the Masters, now eight-time international chorus champions, can perform it. Polished, high-energy Broadway show style choreography adds visual appeal to the music, a show combination that never fails to produce standing ovations. Several award-winning chapter quartets will add musical variety.
