Thrill to the inimitable sounds of the Masters of Harmony, under the direction of Mark Hale, as the six-time international chorus champion presents an array of musical selections guaranteed to elicit audience ovations from the opening curtain. Featured guest, Vocal Spectrum, has become one of the most sought-after young quartets in the world, with appearances in Germany, Holland, Sweden, Russia, England and throughout the United States. Their unique repertoire and energetic singing style have earned them the Barbershop Harmony Society’s Collegiate Quartet Championship in 2004 and the International quartet gold medal in 2006. Don’t miss the pure, ringing harmony of this fantastic foursome from St. Louis, Missouri.
We are also pleased that OC Times, 3rd place international bronze medalist, will have a guest spot on the program. This young, energetic quartet is breathing new life into some of our favorite swing standards and barbershop classics. Inspired by artists like Michael Buble, Sinatra, and Bobby Darin, OC Times brings something new to the table: Traditional barbershop harmony; influenced by jazz and swing, and stylized by pop-culture.
Added feature: The Westminster Chorus, under the direction of Royce Ferguson, is the 2006 International Chorus Silver Medalist and 2006 Far Western District Champion of the Barbershop Harmony Society. Uniquely composed of only young, committed singers, the chorus in its current formation has been in existence for less than four years. Motivated only by the joy of joining with other young brothers of harmony in song, none were more surprised than the humble singers themselves by their rapid ascension to greatness and recognition from their recent international success before a stunned and appreciative audience of music lovers.
