Our much-loved Far Western District Convention took place this past weekend at the classic Fox Performing Arts Center in Riverside. ... The Masters of Harmony gave its usual excellent and acclaimed performance, but for the first time since the Greg Lyne years it did not win the Far Western District chorus contest. The up-and-coming Fog City Singers from San Francisco won the day with a score of 1,641 points (91.2%), with the Masters taking second at 1,603 points (89.1%). The MOH still qualifies for International in Denver, since all choruses scoring 80%+ will be invited.
