Saturday morning saw sleepy-eyed singers winding their way through the Bakersfield High School campus to our weekend performance home at Harvey Auditorium. ... Luckily the rain stayed away, and it was a beautiful day for a show to honor our veterans. The show opened with the Masters of Harmony and the NFC combined on stage to witness the drum line marching into the auditorium with the color guard bringing in the armed forces, California and American flags, followed by the combined choruses singing of the national anthem.
