The Southern California Vocal Association (SCVA) held its second annual “Close Harmony Festival” on Saturday, February 8 at West High School in Torrance. ... The evening performance started at 5:30, and it consisted of the Festival Chorus, a few high school quartets, the Masters of Harmony, The Newfangled Four, and The Westminster Chorus. The theater of the West High School Performing Arts Center was nearly sold out. Based on reports from some of the music teachers, many of the young men continued singing on the school buses all the way back to their schools.
