The MOH followed its opener with a reprise of its 2017 gold medal uptune (“Too Darn Hot/Fever Medley”). “Too Darn Hot” hails from the 1948 Cole Porter musical Kiss Me Kate (five Tonys in its original run), while “Fever” is a Billboard Top 100 song, most notably sung by Peggy Lee in 1958. With many new chorus members, the MOH wowed the audience with its sizzling singing and hot choreography. The MOH’s performance was “best of show,” coming in with a score of 89.9%, and resulting in the Southwest Division and AAA plateau championships.
