More Accolades for OC Times
Dan Place, Jan 15, 2005

The Hugh Ingraham Award for Quartet of the Year was presented to OC Times at the Masters of Harmony’s Annual Awards and Installation Banquet on January 8. The quartet was acknowledged not only for their singing accomplishments, but also for their efforts in supporting both the Masters of Harmony and the Westminster Chorus.
Distinguished at the international level with a top 20 finish at the Louisville International Convention last July, the quartet came home to capture the Far Western District Quartet Championship at Bakersfield in October.
Quartet members Shawn York, Sean Devine, Pat Claypool and Drew Harrah are all “graduates” of the Young Men In Harmony program. They taught a Barbershop Harmony Clinic in San Bernardino in the fall of 2003 and comprised the teaching quartet for the Young Men’s Harmony Festival in 2004, which they will repeat in February 2005. Each man has also taken on important responsibilities in his chapters. Devine has been president of the Westminster Chapter and all four are section leaders. Claypool is the Masters of Harmony’s front row captain and Devine is lead section leader.
O.C. Times has appeared at high schools, colleges and barbershop shows around Southern California, and is a wonderful draw for the Society, MOH and Westminster. They are truly deserving of Quartet of Year.
